The Graveyard Book

This will be a quick little review. This was a cute story.  I can't remember which of my friends recommended this one for my trip, but I'm glad they did. A really quick read, a very light story.  I kind of think it would be a fun story to read with kids. It's definitely a story for kids, now doubt about that.  A fun little story about an orphaned baby who grows up in a graveyard, raised by the ghosts and some adventures he has. Two thumbs up from me.

Enjoy

my mom just read and liked this. when she described it, it sounded kind of disturbing! it's on my list, though!

I found it more interesting at an adult level when you realize it's story from the Jungle Book retold.

Really? I wonder why? Maybe because of the circumstances that bring him to live with the ghosts? I guess that could be seen as a bit disturbing.

Yeah isn't the baby's whole family dead? But it's a children's book, so probably not too disturbing. That's interesting to note that it's a retelling of the jungle book.

I never thought of Mowgli's family being dead. Wow - where's my mind been when watching The Jungle Book? But makes sense, just being raised by ghosts instead of animals and the Jacks are like Shere Khan. I can see that.
