jane austen companions to love & life.

Photobucket

so these are just gift books, but i had to share because i love them so much! i'm a sucker for gift books and coffee table books. i love having them around in my living room. so i saw these and had to have them :)

each page has a quote from jane austen or one of her novels + a darling illustration like the ones on these covers. some of my favorites:

On True Love: "I cannot fix on the hour, or the spot, or the look, or the words, which laid the foundation. It is too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew that I had begun." - Mr. Darcy, after Elizabeth asks him when he bagan to fall in love with her, in Pride & Prejudice.

"If things are going untowardly one month, they are sure to mend the next." - Mr. Weston in Emma

"My idea of good company is the company of clever, well-informed people who have a great deal of conversation; that is what I call good company." - Anne Elliot in Persuasion

"Friendship is certainly the finest balm for the pangs of disappointed love." - from Northanger Abbey
