impossible.

Photobucket

i will admit it. i bought this book because i liked the cover. which is funny because the cover art doesn't really go with the story. the girl on the cover should be 9 months pregnant. anyway, i need to learn not to buy books just for their covers :)

this book was ok. i liked it. i read it really quickly and was really into it, but the end was kind of disappointing/anticlimatic. i won't even try to put the plot into my own words, but it has a twilight-esque feel to it. reality mixed with fantasy. it kind of bothered me that something good would finally happen, and then the chapter would end and the next chapter would be like a month later and a total change of subject. i give it a pg-13 rating for some adult content: rape {though not talked about in any detail}, and some very mild racy moments. this is what it's about:

Lucy is seventeen when she discovers that the women of her family have been cursed through the generations, forced to attempt three seemingly impossible tasks or to fall into madness upon their child's birth. But Lucy is the first girl who won't be alone as she tackles the list. She has her fiercely protective foster parents beside her. And she has Zach, whose strength amazes her more each day. Do they have enough love and resolve to overcome an age-old evil? {from the author's website}

it was a fun read. cheesy. romantic {actually to be honest, the romance between zach & lucy was a little of a stretch for me. i wasn't totally convinced}. it's not a new favorite or anything, but i enjoyed it. if you want to borrow it, let me know ASAP because i'm selling it to The Book Garden!
