Intensity

Looking for an uber scary, somewhat graphic, intense slasher thriller? Well, have I got the book for you. The first time I read this book I was at home alone, bundled under covers with all the lights on it was so scary. I had yet to read any other Dean Koontz novel at that point, so I didn't know what I was in for when I started it.

My synopsis:

Chyna Shepherd, a psychology student with a troubled past, couldn't sleep while staying at her friend, Laura's house. When a blood curdling scream leads her on a terrifying discovery, she is torn between saving her life, or risking it to save another.

This book is not for the faint hearted. I warn you that there are pretty graphic scenes of some intense stuff. And honestly when I read it this second time I didn't find it as entertaining as I did the first time. But I still have to say I loved it because I remember how much I did before.

Ha! I love it, sami. I'm actually NEVER looking for for an uber scary graphic intense slasher thriller! I would have nightmares for weeks!

But good for you :) I AM jealous that you find time to read with 2 kids. It's not happening for me right now.

Like Ariel, I can do WITHOUT nightmares too (are we 12?). However, I haven't ever read a book that is "scary" - so I'm kinda intrigued. I did love horror movies when I was younger...bleh.

I too can't find time to read right now (three kids are crazy!) and it's killing me because I really want to finish Graceling. And I've decided I'm not going to finish The Water and the Blood, but will post about the part I did read.

I need a night away, alone with my books.
