The Last Song

So I just can't give up on him. I really liked the first few of Nicholas Sparks books, so I keep reading his books, hoping to find that new author spark (no pun intended) again. Now I know I am not spoiling anything by saying someone ALWAYS dies in his stories, all except one actually. So, this story is no different. And I figured out of course right away who it would be, but that doesn't mean I still didn't BALL through the last many chapters of the story.

This is not a typical Nicholas Sparks book folks. It is like his first few books. IT IS CLEAN. (It helps that it is about teenage love.)

So, I can fully recommend this book to anyone. Sadly, I just learned they made a movie based on the book. The sad part, for me, is that is stars Miley Cyrus and I'm so anti-her. Darn it! But it would make a great film too.

The story is also about a father's relationship with his children, another reason I probably loved this story. Am I close to my dad? The most devastating thing that could happen to me would be to lose my father. Whenever I was in an audition growing up, and the casting director asked for tears-on-call - piece of cake for me. Can do it still to this day. I just have to think of losing my dad. So for any other daddy's girls out there, this is a great story for you all.

I'm glad someone agrees. You should try the book though. I think it's worth the read.

Ha Ha! That's some good advice for Miley.

I have never read anything by Nicholas Sparks, but I have a big stack of books on my shelf from my SIL waiting to be read and I think this may be one of them.
