the burning within.

When Gina told me about this book, it immediately reminded me of Stephanie Nielson, whose blog {nieniedialogues} I have been following for a while now. So I was definitely intrigued from the start. The Burning Within is RaNelle Wallace's story of surviving a nearly fatal plane crash. She recounts the events leading up to the accident, her recovery, her spiritual awakening, and the many ways that the accident changed her family's lives.

This book was difficult to read and inspiring at the same time. She overcomes unimaginable pain and injuries. Through the process she has amazing spiritual experiences, learns to love herself, repairs her marriage, and dedicates the rest of her life to service.

This was a great read. I definitely recommend it. Here's a little more from the back of the book:

We made plans to fly our plane to Salt Lake City and rent a car for the drive up to Park City, where we would look for a new home. Over the next few weeks I began to have a strange sense of foreboding about the trip. Something inside me warned me not to go. My stomach would knot whenever I thought about flying to Utah. I began having trouble sleeping and quickly found myself thinking the worst. I got two boxes and wrote Christina's name on one and Jason's on another. I started putting things in them that I wanted each child to have in case of my death...

I think I have only commented once on this blog...but I just have to say that this book is AMAZING! I have lent it to 2 co-workers, my mom, my aunt, and even the hospice nurse who took care of my grandma before she died (dont even know her name actually!)
I absolutely LOVE it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good, inspirational story :)

Loved this book too. It took me awhile to get into it, didn't love the beginning. But it was so inspirational and so spiritual. It made me cry like 10 times, once while at the gym for heaven's sake! My husband, who saw me crying, gasp! wanted to read it after that - hope he likes it.
