k, I am now your official blog stalker. I just love your blogs. that makes me look pretty pathedic. oh well. :) I haven't read this book, but my mom did. and she said it was difficult to read emotionally. but she liked it. how is "a wrinkle in time"?
i just barely saw your comment! i didn't have it set up to notify me. you're not pathetic! i'm such a blog addict :) i've heard the same thing about the kite runner. my sister read it and loved it. i'm going to have to read it eventually.
I'm checking out your other blog! Guess that kinda makes me a blog-stalker too. I have the book and will be starting it as soon as a get through my current read. I actually saw the movie first, which I hate doing, and LOVED the movie...though it was emotional for me. I think I'll love the book too. The movie, at least for me, made me much more aware of a part of the world that is in the news every day but I really don't know that much about it.
Woah, Ariel, you have blogs for EVERYTHING! Yes, I'm bored at work :) I actually saw the movie to this--it was very good...I bet the book is great too!
Ariel - you may have already read the book now, but for what it's worth, I hope you wait to see the movie until after you read, and I hope you do read the book. It is such a learning experience. And if you like it, I can recommend some others that are similar in style, but unlike this one are nonfiction. Hope you enjoy it.
